It is stupid statements like that that show you're not a real fan
Or objective statements that show I am a fan of Chris Nolan's artisitic vision?
this is Batman, he is suppose to have a Batmobile, and the fins are cool, they looked great on the 89 Batmobile, this is horrible news.
Yeah, they looked great on THAT batmobile. This batmobile looks just as great, with out all of that. The way it moves and operates > looks.
This is Batman, a comic book, and it's part of the fun to see all his gadgets and vehicles with his bat logo and look etc.
The tumbler isn't an every day looking car. He it quite comic book, but with a meaner presence to it. Batman shouldn't come off as someone who spends time in a comic book store, and/or decorator. The only thing that essentially needs to look like a bat is his suit. The car is just a weapon in his war. It just needs to be a beast. Everyone knows it is the car Batman drives, without having to put huge wings on it. We get the point.
Nolan is dull, he has no imagination and no style.
Or his imagination was going against the grain, and the extra corny stuff, and making something in an imaginary universe...but making it feel alittle more real. He wanted to try a different look and feel for these Batman movies. Get over it.
Yes, in the Burton/Shumacher series he is "FABULOUS!!!" , with all his costume changes, car changes, etc. He worried about the details of his costume more than waging his war on crime.
Nolan's version does not, it is not really capturing Batman, he's just using the name and making some dull movie without the soul of Batman in mind.
Actually, he's got just as much, if not more correct in terms of the actual feel and essence of the character. Batman doesn't care about frivelous things like fins on a car, naked sculptures in Gotham City (thanks Tim Burton and Shumacher), changing his costume ever 5 minutes. etc.
Nolan has style, by having a consistent style. More importantly, the strength of his movie comes from the actual story and plot.
Now, have fun with knowing the Nolan films have been the most critically acclaimed and beloved to date.
