I remembered 26 years ago when Trial of the Incredible Hulk came out on TV and was outstanded Daredevil appeared on TV film, i read in Starlog and comic scene and Marvel comics back then that he was gonna have a TV show of his own and Trial would serve as the pilot for the show.

I was 8 when that was announced as i was excited and even saw a photo of Red Smith in daredevil costume later that year in an issue of Starlog but never got made as i was disappointed. Luckily my dream has came true after 25 years when last year they announced a Netflix Daredevil show and boy, did it deliver.

This TV show started filming in 2014. It didn't take 25 years to make it.

For what its worth I liked Rex Smith as Matt Murdock/ Daredevil. He seemed like he took the role seriously in that movie and I wouldve been curious to see his own series. I wonder if theybwere planning on giving him the red costume on that as well. Oh well.

I don't think the fact that a Daredevil show was planned 25 years ago means this show was 25 years in the making. Between then and now I assume there had been a long period in which there were no plans anymore. And when Marvel got the rights to Daredevil back, I'm pretty sure they started pretty much from scratch. I mean, I guess you could say any movie has been over 125 years in the making as the cameras used to shoot it are based on cameras that were invented back then, but that's not really what people mean when they say how long something has been in the making.

I see what you are saying, but it is kind of misleading. Sure, CBS or whoeverer it was tried making a Daredevil series in 1989, but it never happened, and was abandoned - permanently.
There was no development hell, because there was no development period. No one tried. No one worked at it. Between 1989 and really late 2012 (at the earliest), a Daredevil TV series wasn't even a consideration.

You might have waited 25 years for it, but it was actually just a little over one year in the making. The other 24 it wasn't even in limbo, it didn't exist.
