Director's Challenge (Game of Thrones) Thread

Damn, I think both of these guys are pretty overrated. Blade Runner and Alien are great though, so Scott

Script and editing issues aside, he is a master of film design and massive sets.

Ridley Scott is possibly my all time favourite director. Even his worst films have something worth thinking about. However, Guillermo Del Toro is maybe my second favourite. While Ridley may have higher peaks, he also has much lower valleys, whereas Guillermo Del Toro is remarkably consistent.

I love Blade Runner. Love it. Alien and Kingdom of Heaven (Director's Cut) are also two of my favorites. But Ridley just has too much blah for me. Not that it matters now. :woot:

I'm sure when Del Toro's been doing this for another 20 years, he will have built up plenty of "blah," too. He's already built up some in my book. :oldrazz:

In all seriousness though, the only film Del Toro's done that even comes close to Ridley's highest highs for me is Pan's Labyrinth.
