What the title says.

What do you guys think happened to it?

Come up with some interesting scenarios guys!

I wouldn't be surprised, I imagine it's either in the hands of the military or Lexcorp, could lead to Luthor finding ways to physically harm Superman.

Well the armor he left behind LexCorp will have their hands on it.

So I presume Lex would have disposed of it somehow or maybe tried to experiment on him cut him open and see what he could find.

Cadmus introduction as well.

I hope superman took it and gave it a proper burial. He was clearly upset about killing a fellow Kryptonian, so it would make sense for him to bury it and show respect.

But honestly, I'm sure something hokey and convenient will happen so that the military or Lexcorp has it. It would be a classic example of sacrificing character for the sake of advancing the plot. Obviously, I'll find it annoying if they go this route. And it will be even more annoying and hokey if they use it to create some creature to fight superman. It will make superman look pretty darn dumb.

I agree Supes will not let Zod on the hands of the scientists. I hope he does the honors and of course I guess in a place where some meddlings don't interfere.

Dissection table at a S.T.A.R.S. lab if they go the realistic route.

Well if I were writing it I'd have Supes throw it into the sun.

Last time Superman did that we ended up with Superman IV.

He needs to learn that you can't just throw your problems into the sun or they'll come back as WWF rejects dubbed by Gene Hackman.

Realistically, he should've been buried in area where no one could find him.

I don't know if I'm up for the cliche "government takes him, experiments, & creates a bunch of b.s." drama/mess.

I don't know if it can be done or not but here's an interesting idea for a possible consequence. So let's say Superman sends Zod's body into space somehow, either by throwing it or something. What if other aliens like say Darkseid, Mongul etc etc gets wind of the one who killed Zod and then goes after him over and over again for purposes of conquest?

This could open a door into forcing Superman to grow into a better hero by realizing the consequences of killing.

 As much as I don't LIKE the choice that he made, I think making that choice should be its own discouragement. External consequences reinforce that he did a BAD thing and should own up to actions that were only made out of necessity. It'd be like sending an entire gang for a man who shot an intruder in self-defense.

- Zods body experimented on, cloned...result test subject B-Zero breaks free and well...

- Lexcorp finds a way to refashion Zods armor into Lex's power suit.

- Supes finds out, gets Zods body, throws it into space, or the Sun, or buries him on the moon or something.

^ I like the idea of him cremating Zod with his heat vision, and sending the ashes to space. That sounds gruesome, but in a way, it can be symbolic of doing away with the past and letting the visage of Zod be lost forever.

I don't see that possible due to his invulnerability.

^ Maybe his skin is less tough because his cells are dead? :/
IMO the sun is radiating him but even if he can I could see the scene a little hard especially for some fans and even for kids to show Supes doing that.
I'm on to Supes honor him and hidding him in some unreachable place.

I would like the moon option is the most viable. But I think Superman took him out before Lex put his hands on him.

Imagining Superman throwing a dead body into space is pretty funny to me.

Like the huge chunks of Krypton Tech left over from the World Engine and Black Zero battles I hope that Superman took Zod's body to an ice cavern he builds himself in the Arctic. There, like was done in the Superman books post the execution of the Pocket Universe villains, Superman should have erected a memorial to the last (as far as he knows) of his race.

As macabre as that is, I'd rather have that than him letting Lexcorp have it. At least having superman bury, cremate, or send the body into space shows 1) that superman respects his fallen kin and wants to honor him even though he killed him and 2) that superman isn't a dummy and leaves Kryptonian stuff lying around for villains to use against him.

Interesting  but I'm more from more unreacheable as the moon to leave Zod there.
