does any one like the transporter movies? staring Jason Statham. Its got lots of action in it. I recently brought the first and 3rd transporter movie on blu ray at MacKay's my favorite is the first & the second one

They're guilty pleasures, basically. Not exactly deep or whatever, and it's Statham being Statham. If one is on tv I usually watch a few minutes. The requisite scantily clad hot chick he has to deal with in each one is my attraction.

sure. he's a decent action anti-hero. i even like the detective character.

Enjoyed the first. Honestly haven't properly watched the sequels. But I think I remember seeing how the removed the bomb from his car in Transporter 2. A huge wtf moment. Is the entire Movie like that?

Transporter 2 is a masterpiece of slap stick comedy. I read somewhere comparing the bit on the Jet Ski trying to catch the cure to a Buster Keaton bit and it felt totally apt. The movie is almost like a parody, to the point where Leslie Nielsen could've played Statham's role and you wouldn't need to change it up at all.

Transporter 1 is a fun action flick, I guess it's important for establishing Statham as the action hero while Arnold and Sly went into hibernation and Diesel and Johnson hadn't found their footing yet.

Transporter 3, eh. Olivier Megaton is a hack. This shouldn't have been a Transporter movie. Given the premise of a driver who can't leave his car or he'll explode, this could've been a high concept classic with the right director.

The first one is fun to watch. Every once in a while, I'll watch a little of it when it comes on. It was definitely Statham's breakthrough performance as an action hero.

The second one is so ridiculous, you can't stop watching it. I remember in the theater when Frank Martin flipped the car over and knocked the bomb off the bottom with the crane, my father yelled "What the hell?" and the dude in front of us turned around and said "He's that damn good." I love how it seems self-aware.

The third one is trash. It's a shame too because I love Robert Knepper.

Only watched the first one, it was fun, and the battle in oil was creative.
