Transformers Does the world now know of the existence of the TF's by the end of the film?

I'm still wondering about the woman that Ironhide did his little cirque de soleil flip in slo-mo over. I'm sure she saw his ass. If there's a sequel, they won't have any choice but to admit to the public they exist.

Its been 2 weeks since I last saw it but doesn't Jon Voight hold a national press conference stating the robots are being dropped into the deepest trench in the ocean? So yes mankind knows of the Transformers

I don't think it's a press conference, I think he's talking to the agents of Sector 7 at that point.

Acctually at the end they stated that they had disbanded Sector 7 so it no longer exsist.

I'm not sure that would make a difference - metal giants showing up suddenly and causing a sh**load of death and property destruction, whether intended or not, would probably not make a lot of people happy. And there really isn't anything left for the government to cover up, as most of the hostiles are dead anyway and there's only a few Transformers left that anyone knows about, so even though the Feds might not consider the Autobots a threat to Earth's safety, some nut job out there might.

I would suspect the sequel would also deal with some humans wanting to destroy the Autobots because of ignorance or something, though that might be too similar to X-Men.

Yeah that sounds a little like Xmen, But really am curious to see how they explain it. They will probably say they where all destroyed atleast until Starscream returns.
