Fans who appreciate Gotham for being pulpy and fun

The others who were expecting it to be Nolan's Batman, as they always do.

THIS is spot on. No one is claiming the show is the best thing ever and losing their minds over it. Some of us are enjoying it, but no one is getting hyperbolic but the people that are hating on it. "Oh, Alfred is being gruff and Jada's being flamboyant, WAAAAAAAHHH!!! This is the worst show EVER!!!"

THIS is spot on. No one is claiming the show is the best thing ever and losing their minds over it. Some of us are enjoying it, but no one is getting hyperbolic but the people that are hating on it. I've been enjoying that show, but I will point out that DigificWriter has called the show "better than perfect" and said he would have rated it higher than 10/10 if possible. He's also gone through great lengths to call every single possible criticism of the show "completely off-base". I think that's who Torch is talking about.

Well then that's fair, because I've also seen DigificWriter get a little excessive in other parts of the Hype, so that wouldn't really surprise me.

I also noticed Torch and Digific got into it a bit over the show, so it makes sense that Torch would come here to throw shade, rather than argue with Digific directly (as one does on the internet).
