It's a shame to me. He has great talent. Chronicle isn't an accident. I think that there is a confluence of incidents that we'll get a better view of in the coming years. Right now, it's all rumor, many of which I just don't buy.

See, I wasn't overly impressed by Chronicle. Some of it worked, but I wasn't in love with it. I don't really care for the Fantastic Four as a mythology, so that whole saga with the fans doesn't concern me, though, I'm slightly irked that we haven't had an comic-accurate Doom after 3 films. Basically I felt no excitement towards his involvement in SW, not compared to the likes of Gareth Edwards, so yeah. Slight approval of the decision to let him go or to let him quit or whatever the hell happened.

I've been against Tranks hiring since day one. Mainly because I just didn't trust him after what's been going on with the FF production. I'm too attached to star wars to want to watch as he tries to change it in some unnecessary way. And I'm someone who doesn't think Fantastic Four looks all that bad. But he seems like too much of a loose cannon and a might too unpredictable for Star Wars or any long term franchise that requires him to work with the ideas of other directors and writers.
