Downloading audio question....

Hi,

I use a Mac and am currently downloading a torrent file. It is not quite done (I can come back to it from time to time and it is annoying enough how sometimes it is a fast download and sometimes it is ultra-slow), but anyway...

some of the files are pretty much finished downloading onto an AVI file. I use Quicktime with some enhancments to pen them. When I do I get the video and no sound....now the download is not quite finished but I would guess if it has moved onto to other files and I have all the video that I should have all the audio too. Is there something I need to downlaod to fix this or is there any easy way to convert them to mpegs?

Wait until the download is finished before getting too carried away. If you still don't have audio after all that, check to makes sure you've got the proper codecs for viewing avi's. There are several conversion utilities out there to convert them to mpg. When I get home from work I'll take a look and see what I have on my system that I use for doing that.
