Any fans of Techno/Dubstep? It's been my current obsession as of lately. I really didn't think I'd ever like any techno, aside from Daft Punk. Then I discovered Skrillex, which lead to discovering quite a few electronic artist.

Favorites:
Skrillex
Kill The Noise
Rusko (Woo Boost)
Deadmau5
Daft Punk
Obsidia
Flux Pavillion
Celldweller (Newer stuff is more electronic based.)

I usually listen to Hard Rock/Metal. I started checking out other music just to expand. I've even found some Rap I like.

I hope Daft Punk make a new album. Too long without some new music from them.

I really don't like using "techno" as catch all term for electronic music since it's not accurate and often carries with it a negative connotation, but sure, I like "techno".

Edit: Daft Punk is indeed working on a new album. I just found that out a couple of days ago.

Sorry about that. I don't know why I didn't just label it Electronic.

What have you heard about DP's new album exactly? I really hope it comes out this year or early next year.

I'm also digging Datsik/Infected Mushroom (Feat. Jon Davis) new song entitled "Evilution"

There isn't really any interesting info about Daft Punk's new album. This paragraph from Wikipedia is all I've got:

Daft Punk is currently working on their forthcoming album in collaboration with singer-songwriter Paul Williams and Chic frontman Nile Rodgers. Williams mentioned the collaboration in two separate interviews.[40][41] In March 2012 Williams said that the band's new album could be released as early as June 2012.[42] During an interview with Rodgers, he stated that he would meet with Daft Punk to discuss the duo's upcoming album.[43] Rodgers later said that he and Daft Punk had an informal jam session when they met, and that a formal collaboration would be undertaken.[44] In an interview with Street Date Radio, Danger Mouse revealed that he will be producing the duo's upcoming album, reported to be released in 2013.[45]

HOLY ****!!!!! Just came across "aRTIST oF tHE yEAR" - it's 4:00 am and I refuse to sleep because this music is so good.

Genre: Electro-Funk

Also, "The Cardigan EP" by Billy Van is pretty good too and FREE to download! (YES LEGALLY)
Genre: Dubstep

Ehhh i don't really like Skrillex, his **** is just a load of noise with no real rhythm or beat. I'm not a fan of any modern day dubstep really, or the way pop musicians try and use it in their songs.

I do like some modern stuff though. Flux Pavillion are good. You should also check out Zeds Dead.

As for electronic music in general, big fan of funky house, drum and bass, old school hardcore stuff. Used to go raving a lot back in the early 90s when it first came through. A few of my favourites from back in the day.

haha there seems to be dubstep remixes of everything these days. That's not bad though.

dubstep and techno are two very different genres. I can't say much for techno, but I love skream, rusko, datsik, excision, caspa, bassnectar, and borgore at the moment (borgore is a guilty pleasure)

Oh snap I forgot about Excision & Datsik... I love "8-Bit Super-Hero" by them.

James Bond Dubstep Theme is prettty sweet haha.

Those of you who are a fan of Dubstep, is anyone worried about the saturation of their music with video game trailers?

I'm not a fan of dubstep, but electronic is one of my favorite genres. I love Crystal Castles, Toro Y Moi, Kaskade, deamau5, Röyksopp, and Late Night Alumni.

I just can't listen to this stuff unless i'm f***ed up for the most part. Its great then though. :woot:

When I was younger I listened to a lot of "electronic" music, nowadays it's pretty much everything but. But ever since I started listening to Skrillex I have started to appreciate that kind of music again, also Daft Punk is great and also Trash80.

I was never a fan of pure dubstep, but neither have I been a fan of Korn for many years, until they released "The Path of Totality." Anyone heard it? I think's it's pretty amazing.

I dig it quite a bit. Favorites songs: My Wall, Narcissitic Cannibal, Get Up, Tension, Too Far. Theirs only a few songs I'd say I really don't like on the album.

I do wish Head would come back to KoRn though.

Whew! I was afraid I was going to get blasted lol.
Narc. Cannibal and Get Up are also two of my favs. Yea, it's too bad about Head, but they seem to be doing okay without him. I wonder if there's any other rock/dubstep album like this one out there yet...

My favorite song right now.

Aphex Twin - Avril 14th (Terravita Drumstep Remix)

I've seen Bassnectar a few times and will be seeing him again at the end of this month. I've seen Pretty Lights and a few others. I also will be seeing Skrillex and a few others at Bonnaroo this year. I enjoy dubstep/techno in small amounts.

Im more of a metal/rock fan. But I do enjoy, Celldweller, Daft Punk, Kavinsky, Glitch Mob, Deadmau5 and lately been listening to Nero. Not usually a fan of the dubstep stuff but they seem to have more of an 80s synth pop meets daft punk thing goen on like this track. Videos pretty cool.

Some of their tracks sound straight out of Blade Runner.

Just got back from seeing Bassnectar. Damn that man can put on a good show. The place got so hot that the sound system overheated. They fixed it and then it was back on. Great time tonight.

Anyone listen to any Harsh EBM/Dark Electro?

I'm really loving the sound. Any current artist sound like this?
