Dubstep/Techno.

I've been getting into dubstep/electronic music ever since I got to Syracuse University. It's all that anyone listens too, especially on the weekends.

I love Justice, Deadmau5, Glitch Mob, Wolfgang Gartner, and Skrillex is slowly growing on me, especially after Cinema.

I don't know how I first started getting into dubstep, but heck, I love it now. I really like Approaching Nirvana, Skrillex, Glitch Mob, deadmau5, and Krewella.

I haven't heard anything from Wolfgang Gartner or Justice yet, so I should start now. :woot:

Definitely.

Here's my favorite Justice and Wolfgang Gartner songs.

Menage a Trois by Wolfgang Gartner

On'n'on by Justice

I love EDM. If I had to choose some favorite artists, it has to be Afrojack, Bloody Beetroots, Kidd Kaos, David Guetta, HeadHunterz, Crookers, and CongoRock.

I'm mostly a metal guy, but I have a soft spot for really good electronic music and dubstep. I'm not a fan of Skrillex, but guys like Datsik and his ilk are pretty good. An electronic song I cannot stop listening to is Animale by Don Diablo featuring Dragonette. The Datsik remix is killer

A vid from when me and my friends went to Starscape. One of the best times I've ever had.

I was pissed that I had to miss Starscape this year, cuz it was the same weekend as EDC. Did you check Dada Life out? The whole line-up for the dance tent looked sick. Always wanted to see Zedd too. Only thing that sucks is the loooooong walk back to your car after it's done.

Man, if you went to EDC you already know you got the better experience, lol. Especially since if you arrived late to Starscape this year, you were not getting in; like around six they stopped allowing people in. The fire department came in and banned anyone else from entering even if they had a ticket; honestly, I didn't even know this event sold enough this year to be beyond max capacity. Guess that's why it was so awesome on the inside. You could totally feel the energy of everyone; so hype.

Yeah, Dada Life was sick. I rarely left the dance tent except for a few main stage performances; like Wolfgang Gartner. There was too much dub step on the other stages, and I'm all about shuffling to house and hardcore. And fortunate it is too that there were a ton of shufflers in the dance tent. I picked up so many knew moves while out there from so many talented people. Yeah, it was a blast man.:woot:

Steez promo really needs to stop overselling. Have they offered any refunds to the people who couldn't get in with tickets?

Yeah, I usually stay in the dance tent too. I tried getting to the dubstep beach stage one year to see Skrillex and you'd have sworn the Pop was down there. So overrated. I will definitely be there next year, as we're skipping EDC and going to Ultra in the spring instead.

Funny thing that. You see they did, but that really doesn't change the fact that a lot of these people drove a long ways burning gas, or possibly called out of work (I know my friend did, though luckily we got in) just to get there only to be denied entry. It really sucks for them no matter if they get a refund. I can't say how I would have reacted were I in their shoes.

Oh yeah, it totally still sucks. Same with EDC getting shut down early on Saturday due to wind. People who only had Saturday tix were livid!

I really don't like using "techno" as catch all term for electronic music since it's not accurate and often carries with it a negative connotation, but sure, I like "techno".

Edit: Daft Punk is indeed working on a new album. I just found that out a couple of days ago.

yep, I found that out the other day and I am pretty excited about it...

Danny Avila's Bonfire Remix is sick.

And one of the people who died from Ezoo actually went to Syracuse. I saw him once or twice on campus.

The huge 6'5 270lb dude? I asked around it he had meth in his system too, cuz it'd take a massive amount of just MDMA to put down somebody his size.
