Duke Nukem Forever footage

If this came out 9-10 years ago, I would have bought it on the release date. Since then, I've played better FPS games and don't care if this ever gets released. Starcraft: Ghost is another thing :csad:

I'll still get Duke Nukem 3D when it's released on Live Arcade, since my computer is too fast to run it.

Your computer is too fast to run?
Also, while it didn't blow me away either, how can you judge how good this game will be in comparison to others you have played? It seems alittle on the premature side.

At least they are keeping the favorites intact. The shrink ray and stomping on the little enemy was always classic.

When I was in high school, FPS that was all action and no story were my bread and butter such as Wolf 3D, Doom, Heretic, Rise of The Triad. Then in college I found out that FPS' could have good action with a good story, such as System Shock, Half-Life, Shogo: Mobile Armor Division, No One Lives Forever, Red Faction, and Deus Ex. I no longer settle for FPS' with no story, except to revisit an old favorite. Since the Duke Nukem series has never been known for having a solid storyline, I see no reason to think otherwise with Duke Nukem Forever.

As for my computer being too fast to run Duke Nukem 3D, the game just won't run for me on XP. Now if there was something like ZDoom, then I'd be interested in that and wouldn't bother with getting it on Live Arcade

I kinda see what your saying, Indiana Jones syndrome. The others have the nostalgia factor and work better in there time frame.

Duuuuuuke!!!
Nice show. It's been ages...
The game looks kinda meh but still a must have for me! For the DUKE!

I forgot to add Deus Ex, though it's more of an RPG

lol, I think it's time for Harvey Dent to change his awesome line from The Dark Knight. It should change to:
"You either die a hero or you live long enough to see gameplay footage of Duke Nukem Forever."

DOS Box. I have Vista and Duke still works for me with DOSBox.

Also, that footage looks ok I guess. Nothing groundbreaking, which is what this game needs to be if it hopes to be anything more than a punchline. And hearing Dukes voice not ran through a s**ty midi-sound card just isnt the same :(

I think a lot of the "meh" feeling for this game is because it's been forever...we wanted it long ago and didn't get it.

Duke's about violence, babes and guns....if Forever has this then it's a success in my book.

I'll buy it on day one, come get some!
