Netflix has taken in for development 'The Forgotten Realms,' a live-action Dungeons & Dragons fantasy series, with Shawn Levy as executive producer.

I have no idea how I missed this news until now. While I don’t exactly love Sean Levy, I’m a big Forgotten Realms fan and I’ve been dreaming of seeing Drizzt, Entreri and others appear in live action for decades.

Of course, we don’t know if any of those characters will appear in this but since they’re going with the “Forgotten Realms” name, I would say there is probably a good chance of it. I feel like they would just call it D&D if they weren’t going to dip into that well. I also hope some of the characters from BG3 pop in; they’d be fools not to cash in on that game’s popularity.

According to reports, there will be a new Dungeons & Dragons based on the 80's animated series involving the young adults being transported to another realm via the amusement park.

Hugely popular series (to us Gen X'ers) and done correctly, this could be huge.
