Ah, the gamer's Christmas time is almost here.
Haha, no kidding. I was thinking about upcoming titles earlier on and trying to think of which games I need to purchase next. This year has been blown me away so far.
I mean (for me) I started out the year with Heavy Rain, GOW 3, Assassin's Creed 2 DLC, Dragon's Age DLC and an expansion pack, Super Street Fighter IV, FFXIII, and a few other titles. All topped off with PSN DLC games and Grandia (why didn't anyone ever tell me it was that good? Well other than two of my friends, magazines, and the internet.)
Then I thought about what I need to purchase from that point forward, and it's roughly like this - Next month Modnation and Red Dead Redemption drop. The month after Transformers. DC Online, FFXIV, Batman AA 2, Spiderman, Last Guardian, Twisted Metal, Starhawk, Fallout New Vegas, MVC 3, Resistance 3, inFAMOUS 2, Killzone 3 (which I'm more doubtful on this year), LBP 2, GT 5, and a few others I can't think of atm will probably all see releases this year or early next. Then on top of that I'm leaning towards a Move buy, which will mean that + a few Move games (I mean it's useless if you don't have software for it). Then even further on top of all of that, Sony's been very quiet, which is rare for Sony (I mean Sony stuff ALWAYS gets leaked pre-E3), which tells me the rumors are right and Sony is setting on some huge games that we're not aware of yet and is working extra hard to keep things under wrap. So 2010 could become even more packed.
So we're seeing 2, maybe 3 outstanding AAA titles a month average for the rest of the year, unannounced titles, and if you plan to get Natal or Move on top of that you have even more to purchase. 2010 will probably turn into my most expensive year of gaming yet lol (outside of when I occasionally upgrade my PC rig). So E3 for me this year has the potential of turning an awesome year of gaming into a mind bogglingly awesome year of gaming. I feel bad for 2011, has a hellova a lot to live up to heh.
