Ugh, I really hope companies stay away from 3D gaming. If the rumors are true and Sony's conference is very focused on 3D...this may be the most gimmicky E3 in a looong while.
Aside from Kinect/Move and some 3D games, I'm not sure what exactly to look forward to in this year's E3. Maybe a few years down the line, we will look back and marvel at 2010 and its impact on the future of gaming, but for now it's hard to say whether we will embrace the motion detection technologies from 360/PS3 like we did when Wii came out. I guess Nintendo's 3DS does sound intriguing, but I think we will need to see some good live demostration first.
It all depends if Microsoft makes a deal with EA and LucasArts. Microsoft's policies don't exactly make it a haven for MMOs, it's why Final Fantasy XIV hasn't been announced for the 360.
