A guy I know sent me this. Is Texas really this screwed up? I'm scared to go to Texas if so.

A man seeking to join an East Texas Sheriff's Department was being
interviewed.

The Deputy doing the interview said "Your qualifications all look
good, but there is an Attitude Suitability Test that you must take
before you can be accepted."

Then, sliding a service pistol across the desk, he said, "Take this
pistol and ammo and go out and shoot six illegal aliens, six meth
dealers, six Muslim extremists, and a rabbit."

"Why the rabbit?"

"Great attitude," said the Sergeant. "When can you start?"

If you really believe this then I think you are more screwed up than e-mail joke Texas.

I've heard a lot of weird stories about Texas. It's one of the few states I haven't been too yet.

I dont get it,

why shoot the rabbit?

Texans like their rabbits.

Come on down n lemme show you muh guns, fishin' equipment, n' trophy deer mounts.

Sorry but if you really believe that then well:hehe: We get tons of Germans and other Europeans that come down here and want a real "Texan/Cowboy experience" and I want to punch them. I even have a second cousin whose husband dressed up like an Indian and rode a horse out on a ranch he use to work for, my second cousins on the other side(they are rich), because they had old stage coaches and buffalo, longhorn cattle, etc...Germans would go there all the time to stay at their guest house and go on a guided hunt because they thought it was cool. Stupidest thing ever. But hey, they paid a lot I heard. I don't know if they still do the tour/hunts.

Our town is also very olde timey on purpose for tourism. We are in fact the town started by cereal magnate CW Post, a once stop on some railroad route, a stop on some dumb cattle trail, etc...So apparently for a real cowboy time you come here.

I even think King of the Hill's fictional town, Arlen, is based from places around where I live. Their location to actual places is pretty close to around where I live.

Was this the Sheriff?

HAHA no but our Sheriff is a big old fat guy that wears a cowboy hat.

Yeeeee-haaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

2nd amendment rules!

The right to bear arms. I use those bear arms like crazy. You gotta find one with sharp claws though.

So you're saying that there are not places or people in Texas who are like this?

Turns out, going out and randomly shooting people is still illegal in texas. You hear a request coming from a law officer, you're not likely to take it seriously, if he means it seriously, he's not likely to keep his job unless he's keeping it very hush. Institutionalized racism is one thing. With the problems inherent in bureaucracy mean it can happen. Institutionalized murder, on the other hand...

In that conversation, nobody was shot... it was just a conversation. I'm sure conversations like that are held all the time... and not just in Texas. That's what I was alluding to.
