Ed Gein

You have to kill three people to be a serial killer. Gein had only two confirmed kills to his name.

So are you trying to tell me the 2 hours i was stabbing my bowl of frosties was pointless?

So I'm going to ask again. How do you wear a vulva?

And it's not like he just killed them either.

He wore them.

If it wasn't for Ed Gein, Criminal Minds would not be on the air.

And that all we really need to know about this mother****er.

So if Gein only has two murders attributed to him how do they account for all the extra souvenirs he had in his home?

First paragraph in the wikipedia quote, he was also a grave robber. Probably fresh graves so the skin still had room to stretch.

Ask the families of his victims if they agree with you

This is true, but it is an unfortunately fascinating subject.
Serial killers are a rare breed of lowlife.

In the case of the families of the victims of Gein, I think they have probably gotten over it by now anyways.

Gein is crazy, I wish they'd make a good horror movie about him.

Horror is a type of entertainment. I don't really think the families of his victims would appreciate a film that's heavily based on him.

^ I agree twice.

I don't care for horror movies that are "based on true stories" horror movies are entertainment because they are fiction. If they are truth then they aren't fun movies anymore. They are twisted.

I thought the Zodiac was interesting. A film can make people think about something they haven't payed any attention to before. The movies are never accurate enough though. Horror movies are twisted in general.

It doesn't necessarily have to be true, though. Look at the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, they said it was based on true events, the true events of Ed Gein that is. I'm sure an Ed Gein movie could be mad but with an extended killing spree, and tortures. And the Director could stamp 'Based on True Events' and they would be fine. But I do see your point that Fiction horror is a lot better.

We really don't have any serial killers these days... not in the traditional sense.

Not that we know of...and if you knew...you wouldn't be with us any longer.

Would you consider someone who constantly pushes people off their pushbikes under lorries a serial killer?

cos that's the way I rolllllllllllllllllll

Are any close relatives of his victims still alive? There have been several movies about Ed Gein already.

I dont consider people who bomb things or such to be serial killers, I am weird like that.

What are you referring to?

there was about two serial killers recently in my area. these type of people are still out there . of course they don't seem as high profile.

According to an FBI Behavioral Unit study 85% of the world's serial killers are in America. At any given time 20 - 50 unidentified active serial killers are at work continually changing their targets and methods.
