I never realized how bizzare these animated things were. Watching this one now makes me think how ****ed up it was, and that the animators were possibly doing a bit of LSD.:wow:
 
Really? I thought he was already nuts by the time that stuff was airing. :confused:
 
No. It was a mixture of Cookie Monster and the Count, and then the haunting eyes of Big Bird finally did it.

Maybe Manson used these short vids as recruiting videos for his family.
 
How is it that every thing else is on youtube, and I can't find Grover's 'near/far' bit? :cmad:
 
It seems to be either an allegory for television or the dangers of strangers, though for the former it's a bit too ironic and for the latter the concept of temptation is a bit hard to convey over a children's show. Though- with all honesty- I can kind of see where the 'drug influence' comments are coming from. There are a few shorts from Sesame Street in particular I can remember that kind of creeped me out later on in life.
 
anyone remember that show that had the floating head as the bad guy? I hated that when I was little.:down
