If anyone would like to nominate more names for future rounds, please feel free to post them here....
http://www.superherohype.com/forums/...d.php?t=205605
The rules are the same as before, you take away one point from one name and add it to another until only one name remains. Anyone can play and consecutive votes are legal, but players must always wait 60 minutes in between votes to give other players a chance to play.
Do not campaign on other boards for votes. If you are caught doing so, one point will be deducted from who you were campaigning for and added to each of the remaining players in the game.
When you play, please quote the player who last played and then adjust for your move. When you are finished, please double check your score. Sometimes two players play at the same time and whoever came in last will have to adjust their score because of it. Enjoy.
X-Writers: Round Two
1. Stan Lee ~ The man who started it all. That's all that really needs to be said about him, really.
2. Joss Whedon ~ Current writer of Astonishing X-Men, which helped to relaunch the X-titles back to the top of the heap, and is still considered to be the best X-title currently on the market.
3. Len Wein ~ Relaunched the X-Men back in the 70's to much acclaim, and also created several fan favorite characters such as Nightcrawler, Storm, Colossus, and Wolverine.
4. Grant Morrison ~ Helped to revamp the New X-Men line up introducing several controversial and criticized and praised characters and stories such as Cassandra Nova, Xorn, E is for Extinction, and Planet X.
5. Fabien Nicieza ~ Helped start up X-Force and later took over writing the adjectiveless X-Men title, being a part of some of the biggest X-storylines such as Age of Apocalypse and X-Cutioner's Song, and created characters such as Deadpool and Shatterstar, as well as started the big Third Summers Brother mystery.
6. Joe Casey ~ Worked on several X-related titles, most notably a run on Uncanny X-Men, but was also a writer for several other titles such as Cable and adjectiveless X-Men, as well as numerous X-minis, several of which involved Wolverine.
7. Brian Michael Bendis ~ Most notable X-work is on Ultimate X-Men, where he brought in many ultimatized versions of 616 characters such as Emma Frost and her own students, as well as the notorious death of Beast. He was also the main writer behind the House of M event, where a Scarlet Witch reality warp made Magneto the ruler of the world, and then later erased a large portion of the mutant population.
8. Louise Simonson ~ The lone female in the tournament, she is most known for her run on the original X-Factor, where she introduced the mutant world to Apocalypse, and changed Angel into his famous Archangel form, and wrote during the Inferno arc.
9. Warren Ellis ~ His dark sense of humor helped Excalibur to find its voice again, creating the character of Pete Wisdom, who started a relationship with Kitty, as well as adding Wolfsbane and Colossus to the line up.
10. Rob Liefield ~ Started off helping on the original New Mutants title, where he created somewhat controversial character Cable, and later assuemed full control over the title and changed it into the first incarnation of the strike team known as X-Force.
Same as before, if you aren't as familiar with one creator's work as you are with another, please look them up so you can judge fairly:
1. Stan Lee 10
2. Joss Whedon 10
3. Len Wein 10
4. Grant Morrison 10
5. Fabian Nicieza 10
6. Joe Casey 10
7. Brian Michael Bendis 10
8. Louise Simonson 10
9. Warren Ellis 10
10. Rob Liefield 10
