The poster looks good and it was a wise decision to cast older actors. I don't see any eight year old performers being able to pull off the skill of these characters or Ender's brilliance convincingly.
 
That's a trailer like a plane makes, only firery. So, we've got Han Solo, Gandhi, and Amanda Waller in the same film, along with that awesome girl from True Grit, cool.

I love Ford, but boy, he was so..distractedly wooden here. I suppose he's suppose to the stoic miliatary type; instead I get the same type of acting he's done in movie like The Devil's Own. Bored.

And Ford's posture is getting bad. I don't fault him, he's an older man. I think it's the director's job to hide it and to work with it.

I don't know. Ford seems more stoic than wooden to me, which fits his character. Of course, I'll have to see the movie to know for sure.
 
It feels like there is almost no buzz for this movie, which is bad considering its release date.
 
Does Ford actually care about any movie he ever does? Because he always seems like he's just bored out of his mind.

He actually was an intense and charismatic screen presence back then. I don't know what happened, but even more so, I wonder why directors still want him in their films, other than name recognition?
 
I like sci-fi in general, and movies set in space even more, so I'm sort of interested in seeing this based on that alone but will probably wait for reviews. Have never read the book, is it something that I should read if I like authors like Isaac Asimov and Ray Bradbury?

I thought he was really good in 42 (the Jackie Robinson movie). One of the best characters in the movie even.
 
Yeah, he was good in 42. I also think that he still cares about Indiana Jones (Crystal Skull is flawed, but I thought that he was good in it).
 
I saw a trailer for it with Gravity and while that gave me more interest in it (which isn't saying much) I'm still waiting for Netflix.
 
Ford has certain films he has more love for as opposed to others. This one he feels like he's phoning it in and is just doing it just to keep busy. With 42 you could tell he was genuinely interested in that story.
 
Very true. Same thing with Indy 4 (despite how I felt about the film itself)..he acting like his younger self. I hope he does the samething with the next Star Wars. Unleash the charming rogue that we all once knew.
 
I'm not even sure that he'll have a big role in the new SW movie. Luke seems to be the one who would naturally get the biggest role (he can be the new Obi Wan).
 
It's already playing over there?
