I got a gift card for Christmas and would like to better myself with an educational book. On the other hand, I dont want a dry read. What books are entertaining yet educational? I have a few: Philosophy and South Park, The Autobiography of Joseph Stalin (a work of fiction but written by a Stalin scholar) and The Mad Scientist Hall of Fame.

Zombie Survival Guide
World War Z
Animal Farm, possibly?
Scalped
Rocking Horse Winner
Anything published by the Daily Show cast
The Will to Whatevs

Death: A Life by George Pendle
Go To Hell: A Heated History Of The Underworld by Chuck Crisafulli and Kyra Thompson
The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff
John Lennon: A Life by Philip Norman

All books that will entertain you, AND help you learn something new or help introduce new ideas. If I think of any more I'll post 'em.

Seabiscuit: An American Legend
Benjamin Franklin: An American Life
Homo Politicus by Dana Milbank
Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson
A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking
The Tao of Pooh and The Te of Piglet
Musashi and Taiko by Eiji Yoshikawa

Fantastic book! It has a sequel which I haven't read yet, entitled Why Do Men Fall Asleep After Sex?.

I don't need a book to tell me that one.:p
