Facebook is taking some pretty drastic measures to change what's going to be in your news feed. Specifically they're limiting the reach of companies by promoting posts by your friends and family in order to hopefully create a more social experience.

This is going to majorly change the way online publishers distribute content & ultimately impact their bottom line as links & likes from facebook may account for 30-80% of their total traffic.

To compensate we may see major increases in subscription sites all around the internet.

Probably for the better. Facebook and the people who rely on it for news have proven unreliable and gullible. Same goes for people who read Twitter and expect that to be factual, reliable information.

Though the bubble effect of relying on your friends and family for information is still an issue.

I downloaded mine the other day and despite rarely using it they do have quite a bit of mostly mundane detail on me.

i downloaded mine but haven't looked at it yet.

and facebook should be promoting a more social experience. that was the whole point of it lol

I downloaded mine and now I feel like **** because I read through all of the old messages that I deleted.
