Fake Season 1-9 DVD boxset

Hey, I just want to know something, I recently bought the season 1-9 DVD box set which came in this package:

but I'm slightly worried that my set's a fake, the episodes seem to be fine(quality wise) on my computer, but they have stuff like the CW captions and stuff within the episode, it almost feels like it's been directly ripped off the tv and burned into the discs and sold.

another reason is that on my season 9 discs they have this artwork below:

I know for a fact that this picture was a fan-made manip(I think)???


I don't know, has this happened to anyone else?

Well if it has that picture on the disc you can bet its fake, as there is no way they would send out discs with a fan made picture on them, especially when you consider Darkseid wasnt even in season 9.

How much did you pay for it? And where from? Try and warn people against it!

As far as I know there is no OFFICIAL smallville 1-9 set.

Yea, there have been no official season collections like that made.

Yea if it has the cw bug on screen and those other ticker things then its just a ripped copy of episodes. Now I know I seen sets like this before but usually they were other countries or just u know studios trying to make another buck. But its a fake.

There are professional "looking" bootlegs of everything out there. The key is paying attention to details. Unless it's something like Wal-Mart or Best Buy having a well advertised sale...someone with a fantastic price on a set is most likely bootleg. If you go to the Warners website and they have a picture of thier sets and you find one for a great price with different pics...its a bootleg.

With that being said...some bootlegs are of good quality, as good as or slightly below the real stuff....but they are illegal.

if you go to tvshowsondvd.com and amazon, they usually have the legit/official versions of everything thats been put out for television programs. kryptonsite.com also does a good job of the products that have come out for the show.

Would be more likely they would release the 1-9 boxset on one bluray then waste all the money on the other disks.

Well season 6+ have been on bluray they are still working on@ onverting the other earlier one. As for when the show ends most likely will have a big complete series set. Alot of other shows done it plus for sv it def make a killing.
