I didn't see a thread for this, and since the year is half over I felt like this would be appropriate.

Mine:

The New Pornographers - "Together"

The National - "High Violet"

The Roots - "How I Got Over"

Avi Buffalo - "Avi Buffalo"

M.I.A. - "Maya (/\/\/\Y/\)"

Joanna Newsom - "Have One On Me"

LCD Soundsystem - "This Is Happening"

Broken Bells - "Broken Bells"

Broken Social Scene - "Forgiveness Rock Record"

Kathryn Calder - "Are You My Mother?"

Erykah Badu - "New Amerykah Pt. 2, Return of the Ankh"

Little Boots - "Hands"

What are yours?

I'll rank the handful I've listened to.

Great:
1. The Gaslight Anthem-"American Slang"
2. The Bouncing Souls-"Ghost on the Boardwalk" (this might not really count as a 2010 albums since all the songs were originally released as downloadable singles in 2009)
3. The Hold Steady-"Heaven is Whenever"

Good:
4. Smoking Popes-"It's Been a Long Day" (b-side collection)
5. Motion City Soundtrack-"My Dinosaur Life"
6. Off With Their Heads-"In Desolation"
7. Stephen Egerton-"Six Degrees of Stephen Egerton"
8. Streetlight Manifesto-"99 Songs of a Revolution" (cover album)
9. Alkaline Trio-"This Addiction"
10. High On Fire-"Snakes for the Divine"

Decent:
11. Four Year Strong-"Enemy of the World"
12. Against Me!-"White Crosses"

For me, I'd have to say (in no particular order):

-Realism by The Magnetic Fields
-Eyelid Movies by Phantogram
-Space Eagle by Alaska in Winter
-Shame, Shame by Dr. Dog
-No Mas by Javelin
-Brothers by The Black Keys

There are a few albums I haven't heard yet from this year that I'd like to, but that's my list for now.

Grinderman - Grinderman II
Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
Neil Young - Le Noise

Nevermore - The Obsidian Conspiracy
Megadeth - Endgame
Annihilator - Annhilator

I still need to listen to the Gorillaz album, but I've heard good things. I was considering putting Dr. Dog and Vampire Weekend on there, but ultimately they ended up "close, but no cigar" for me.

The Roots - How I Got Over is my favorite so far

Didn't know The Roots had a new one. I'll pick it up.

As for albums,

Scenes from Hell by Sigh
Snakes for the Divine by High on Fire
Eparistera Daimones by Triptykon
The Obsidian Conspiracy by Nevermore

I'll probably add The Final Frontier by Iron Maiden when it comes out.

Together - The New Pornographers

Can't wait to see them at Lollapalooza

Heliogland - Massive Attack
Plastic Beach - Gorillaz

It's my favourite album of the year so far but things might change when the new Grinderman, Tom Waits and Radiohead albums come out.

You're in for an amazing show. I just saw them last month - full band with Neko and Dan in tow. They're incredible. Also, Neko Case is a goddess. :o

LCD Soundsystem- This is happenning. I had a gift card from my graduation party and took a risk on this ( i had only hear one song from them and it was from sound of silver) I quikly fell in love with this album.

Gorillaz- Plastic Beach, took me a while to get into it but I dig it

The Black Keys- Brothers
Probably my favorite for the year. I'm not sure if I like it more than their other albums, but I highly reccomend it. That and the black keys are finally getting radio time!

dead weather- sea of cowards

black keys- brothers

dan sartain- dan sartain lives

conspiracy of owls- self titled.

I absolutely hate rap/hip-hop, but the latest Roots album is pretty strong. Avenged Sevenfold's new one is also quite good. Can't leave out 'Screamworks' by HIM or 'Tear the World Down' by We Are the Fallen either.

black breath - heavy breathing
early graves - goner (R.I.P. Makh Daniels)
kvelertak - s/t

cancer bats deserves a mention as well. can't call it a fave just yet.
has some really gnarly and down-and-dirty songs, but i need to give it some more attention.

Eminem - Recovery
Saving Abel - Miss America

Dead Weather - Sea of Cowards
and
Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
both are an A in my book

took awhile for it to grow on me, but MGMT album Congratulations is really good

i also enjoyed Neon Trees album Habits

September is going to be a great month of album releases. Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, and Interpol are all releasing new albums that month :yay:

Am I the only one looking forward to the new Maroon 5 album?? :o:huh:

Lol! Is that a "yes"? :oldrazz:

Don't judge meeeeeee!!!

Looking through all the CD's I've bought that have came out this year... I've only bought "Coheed & Cambria: Year Of The Black Rainbow" and found it rather disappointing. Was going to pick up KoRn's new CD but listened to it on youtube and felt the same way I did about it as the Coheed CD, like a few songs but that's it. Linkin Park's new song sounds like crap to me, so it probably won't be worth buying... I've just been buying older CD's I guess. Most new stuff just seems to be let-downs.

I'm hoping Disturbed's new CD is good. They haven't really disappointed me yet. :D
