I like Debbie Harry, Jonette Napolit...the chick from Concrete Blonde, Gwen Stefani, Chrissie Hynde and Shirley Manson's bands. Meaning I like Blondie, Concrete Blonde, No Doubt, The Pretenders and Garbage. I don't know if that counts as a "female musician." I also dig Pat Benetar and I loooooooooove L7. They freakin' rock.

imogen heap rocks my world however. everyone should check out hide and seek from her solo album and "the dumbing down of love" by frou frou
 
anyone know where I can get hold of an album by a band called coal. They did that song "stay with me" that was used for the break up scene in chasing amy. I've never been able to find an album listed for them anywhere :(
