What scenes in movies with licensed songs in the background are your favorites?

Alice Cooper-"No More Mr. Nice Guy" in Dazed and Confused (when Mitch gets paddled)
Queen-"Don't Stop Me Now" in Shaun of the Dead (when they fight zombies in the pub)
Dick Dale-"Miserlou" in Pulp Fiction (opening credits)
Stealers Wheel-"Stuck in the Middle With You" in Reservoir Dogs (torture scene)
Starland Vocal Band-"Afternoon Delight" in Anchorman (when the news team sings it in the office)

Go.

You left out a rather crucial one "Bohemian Rhapsody" from Wayne's World.

This sucks. I want to list them all but it would take hours to remember and list them.

Right.

I didn't think of it because I've never seen that whole movie; just the beginning.

The singalong to Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" in Almost Famous is the greatest scene in movie history.

Other faves:

Donovan's "Atlantis" being played when Billy Batt is beaten in Goodfellas
The "Bohemian Rhapsody" sequence in Wayne's World
The Cars' "Moving In Stereo" during Phoebe Cates' nude scene in Fast Times At Ridgemont High
Lloyd Dobler holding the boombox outside Diane Court's house playing Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes"
Chuck Berry's "You Can Never Can Tell" being played during Mia and Vincent's dance-off in "Pulp Fiction".
The "Layla" montage in Goodfellas
Stevie Wonder's "My Cherie Amour" being played while Kate Hudson gets her stomach pumped in Almost Famous
Every scene involving music in Almost Famous and Goodfellas
Austin Powers dancing to The Divinyls' "I Touch Myself" to destroy The Femmebotts in Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery
Mr. Blonde's "Stuck In The Middle With You" dance in Resevoir Dogs
The New Editon's "Just Dropped In (To See What Conditon My Condition Was In)" being played during The Dude's dream sequence at Jackie Treehorn's house in The Big Lebowksi.
Ferris Bueller's performances of "Danke Schoen " (sp? sorry) and "Twist & Shout" in Ferris Bueller's Day Off
The Toons' singalong of "Smile, Darn Ya, Smile" at the end of Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Air Supply's "Making Love Out of Nothing At All" during the freeway chase in Mr and Mrs Smith makes me laugh everytime.

Bernard Herrmans "Twisted Nerve" in Kill Bill was ingenius IMO.

Prodigy's "Smack My ***** Up" in Charlies Angels was funny as hell.

"Sinner Man" during the final theft in THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR.

Dead Souls from Nine Inch Nails, in the movie, The Crow, when Eric Draven is working his way across the rooftops, towards Tin Tin.

Oh, and The End, by The Doors in Apocalypse Now.

Pulp Fiction - Jungle Boogie

American Psycho - Hip to be Square

Die Hard w/ a Vengeance - Summer in the city

Apocalypse Now - The Doors - The End

SWAT - Rolling Stones - Shattered

You have great taste, sir

I'd like to add "V for Vendetta" and "Shawshank Redemption"

Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" played over the climax and The Rolling Stones' "Street Fighting Man" played over the credits literally gave me chills

And that scene where Andy plays Mozart's "Duettino - Sull'aria" from the Marriage of Figaro was just AMAZING. (Don't kid yourselves, I didn't know the exact name of that piece, I had to look for it on the IMDB :O)

The only right way to end the movie.

Ordinary World from Duran Duran in Layer Cake. Utterly brilliant.
Peaches from the Stranglers in the first scene of Sexy Beast.

Oh, and for some reason I love Joe Walsh's "Life of illusion" in "The 40 year old virgin"'s opening scenes :O

Thank you.

Another great one is the "Aquarious" singalong at the end of The 40 Year Old Virgin.

Bye Bye Bye in X2: X-Men United.
Damn It Feels Good to be a Gangster in Office Space.
Mad World in Donnie Darko.

...and basically every instance in Quentin Tarantino's films. :o

'Sitting on Top of the World' by Al Jolson in KING KONG (2005)

'Shout! Remix' by The Isley Bros. & Matter Music in THE WEDDING CRASHERS

'God Only Knows' by The Beach Boys in LOVE ACTUALLY

'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head' by Burt Bacharach in BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDACE KID & SPIDER-MAN 2

'My Brain is Hanging Upside Down' by The Ramones in THE SCHOOL OF ROCK

I'll think of more later...
