I just finished watching Death Proof, bid of a dud as far as the movie is concerned but like most Tarantino flicks I really liked the soundtracks. We all know there are certain movie scores that come of as great but this is a thread for yer favourite soundtracks.

Music found in movies that aren't part of the original score made for the flick.

Some of mine
Dazed and Confused
Heavy Metals
Resevoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction
Desperado
Black Snake Moan
Blues Brothers
Swing Kids

Didn't see a thread already on this...if there is C'est la vie

Escape From LA sucked ass but it had an awesome soundtrack. For one thing, Sugar Ray had a song that didn't completely blow, unlike their "popular" radio efforts. The rest of it is very 90's, but if you're into that sort of thing, it's definitely worth picking up.

Almost Famous has bar none the greatest soundtrack ever, followed by Goodfellas.

Transformers ('86)
The Crow
Empire Records
Dazed and Confused
The Last Action Hero (Def Leppard, Queensryche)
Batman Forever

I can't speak for the whole soundtrack as I haven't seen Goodfellas in a while, but the "Layla" scene shocked the **** out of me the first time I saw it.

Very, very creepy...but effective, definitely. I can't hear the song without thinking about it to his very day.

Agreed. I think "Atlantis" by Donovan was used to great effect in the Billy Batts scene. Everytime I listen to that song, I think of that scene.

In regards to Almost Famous, here's my favorite scene of all time in any movie:

Pulp Fiction FTW!

PF does have a cool soundtrack.

Also, while I mentioned Almost Famous, just about every Cameron Crowe film since Fast Times At Ridgemont High has had an excellent soundtrack.

Eddie and the Cruisers is one of my favorites (most likely because my mom loved it, thus I heard it a lot when I was a kid).
