"I think we need some version of "classic villains" in these movies. Many don't hold up well to time and to the big screen, but their essence should inspire the characters.
Female villain... Now there's an interesting notion."

From Favreau's own words.

While the mask itself is obviously a little silly for her to wear around all the time, a woman who seduces Tony Stark by day and tries to take down his company by night would be very intriguing. She would be a genuinely interesting character to bring into the movie-verse.

You know the more I think about it the more it makes sense to have a female villain in the sequel, besides having the on going developments with the Manderin and additional armored opponent of course. It would be a departure from most comic movies and him being a womanizing hero and all...

I've been an advocate of her being introduced at some point down the line. Perhaps Count Nefaria could have a place as well?

I really hope they don't put off Mandarin till part 3. I mean dang that is like 6-8 years away...

I would really like to see Madam Masque, I was a supporter of that character back when we debating who the villian would be IM, I've liked the combo of Madam Masque, Ghost & Spymaster for IM2.

A guy literally called Count Nefaria might just be a little too silly.

I could see her as a minion of the Mandarin and that her father had a criminal empire in the past.

I see what you're saying, though I don't think the name is anymore cornier than Obadiah Stane. My solution would be to just refer to him as Nefaria for the duration of the film. Maybe drop the Count title just once.

Though just having her be an industrial saboteur working for the Mandarin would work.

Are you serious?:wow:

Nefaria is way worse. Might as well just call him Mr E. Vil.

Plus, if they go into his alcoholism, then she could persuade Tony to do some questionable things while under the influence.

Then we can see him fight Rhodey as War Machine

That'd be interesting, Mask could be the Darth Vader to the Mandarin's Emperor...

Okay, I probably could've used a better example. :yay:

But the FF movies still kept Victor von Doom and Favreau didn't change Nick Fury's name around.
