Unless I'm missing any news, it sounds like a huge freak accident...although the few sites I've visited have gone crazy with conspiracy with the comments...too soon to jump to conclusions.

...my thoughts and prayers for the town of West.

Two confirmed dead so far... My thoughts and prayers and with everyone down there.

That's just sad to hear the firefighters got caught in the middle of it.

What kind of precautions can you take for containing that type of thing?

Is there ever any good news anymore? Jeez. My thoughts are with the victims and those in Texas. :csad:

How long before CNN or FOX News turns this into something it's not? :o

Either way, horrible. :csad:

If they don't get it under control, there will probably be more explosions. But at least they've evacuated the area.

Must have been one hell of an explosion.

Wait, 60-70 dead, is that true?!

And that video sounds terrifying

Ammonium nitrate and fire is an incredibly dangerous mix. Definitely unfortunate as having a fire not break out should be one of the main concerns for a fertilizer plant.

Any fire that can't be doused with water is much crazier to deal with. Have to find the right concoctions to handle it.

God damn.

Looks like a ****ing atomic bomb went off in some of these shots.

That video with the kid and his dad is insane. To think that they were what? Maybe around a half a mile away and it was still loud enough to make them go temporarily deaf. That's ****ing bonkers. This has been a crazy couple of days that's for sure
