My script will be done soonn. But I gotta buy some stuff first.


CAMERA
This is the hardest part. Why? Because I live in Ireland and trying to buy a professional camera here is like looking for hookers in the north pole.

But heres a question. If I buy a let's say a HD camera or a cannon mini dv how much quality will I loose compared to a pro camera? Because it's really quality I'm looking for not so much extra features.

LAPTOP
I'm thinking of buying a Mac book. I have a pc but I hear Mac's are best for editing and using editing software.

EDITING
I'm gonna buy final cut pro. But is it hard to use and teach yourself how to use it?

I don't know enough about cameras to help with that.

I've used both PC and Mac to edit movies before, and I found it insanely easier on the Mac. I recommend going with either the top of the line or second to the top Macbook Pro. For my purposes, the second from the top suits me fine, but you sound like you need more memory.

Final Cut can trip you up at first, but there are plenty of good tutorials both online and built in to get you set up. Once you start using it you should be fine.

Sounds a bit silly, but could be worth a watch if done right. The fact that you stated it is a action/comedy/horror says that it may be ok or good. Will the movie be on the net or sold through dvd?

It's meant to be silly. I want it to be over the top. My aim is make the silly parts silly but not to the point where people will think it's just dumb and not funny. I want the violence to be over the top too.


My distribution will be by the net. But first I'll have some showings in my area. If it's popular then I will sell some DVDs. But thats IF it goes the way I plan. This could all go wrong and turn out to be **** which could be a large possibility.

Where will you be filming?

Well I live in Ireland so that will have to do.
I know some old ruins which can be used for the finding of thw swords scene. There is also a scene 20 people get hacked up so I'm filming in a shopping centre for that. They are main filming locations.
