We know that Warner Bros Pictures is way behind Marvel Studios when it comes to making movies out of its comic book properties. But I have intel on what is coming up at this July’s Comic-Con from the studio. A lot of stuff remains in flux but my sources have so far: May 2016 – Batman v Superman
July 2016 – Shazam
Xmas 2016 – Sandman
May 2017 – Justice League
July 2017 – Wonder Woman
Xmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2

Which couple do you think it will be on the big screen?
Hal and Barry or Wally and John Stewart?
Do they mix Kyle and Hal and put him with Barry?

It should be "The Brave and the Bold", but it will wind up sounding like a Game Gear game your grandmother would get you for Christmas because she knows you like those Nintendomans.

WAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!

Has to be Hal and Barry. Looking forward to it if it's true.

For these roles...

I'd like Aaron Paul for Flash, and Jack Huston for Hal :hmm

Very excited if true.

I wonder if it would be a sequel to JL or a prequel (when they first met). Ditto for the WW solo.

It'd be awesome if WB could hold on to Phil Lord & Chris Miller ( 21 Jump Street, another successful bromance comedy, and The Lego Movie, an energetic, heart-filled movie)

I could see those guys turning this movie into a huge deal.

this is by far the most interesting film coming out of that news.. I'm loving this film slate. I can take or leave Shazam though.

A Flash/GL film is a FANTASTIC idea. It's the perfect way to further establish these characters. The time isn't right for another solo GL or a Flash film, people aren't ready. Pairing them up is genius.

It has to be Hal/Barry.

Who will be the villain(s)?
Grodd? Sinestro? Reverse Flash?

It might be Barry but I'll bet good money it'll be John Stewart for two reasons.

1. To ethnically diversify the JL Cast.

2. To try and wash the bad taste the last GL movie left in everyone's mouth.
I'm willing to bet that it'll be Hal. It'll be the New 52 lineup

1. Cyborg IMO provides ethnic diversity already. More diversity wouldn't hurt, but if the only reason they're going to use John is because of his race.... then that's pretty lame imo. They should use the stronger character, not the more ethnically diverse character.

2. This movie will be post Justice League. Both Hal and Barry will have been introduced already in Justice League. Nobody will care about the last GL movie in December 2017. They'll only care about the new Green Lantern that was just introduced. They can distance themselves from the 2011 movie by writing him better, giving him a better costume, and recasting him. There can be some throwaway line that sets the record straight, definitively telling the audience that GL 2011 is not canon.

:hehe:

Now where's the guy who called this, made a whole youtube video monologue about how this was the way forward with Flash and GL?

I was going to post pretty much the exact same thing. IF the news is true, I think it'll be Barry and Hal. And while I am all about showing racial diversity in superhero films (I'm African-American myself...as far as I'm concerned, bring on John, Vixen, Black Lightning, Steel, Fire, Vibe...whomever), I'd imagine that the filmmakers will probably think Cyborg is enough, for now.

And despite the failure of 2011's Green Lantern, if Batman v. Superman, (allegedly) Shazam, Justice League, and (allegedly) Wonder Woman are all strong films leading into GL/Flash (particularly Justice League), and it has been established that this is not the Ryan Reynolds version, then I think the general movie audiences would give it a shot.

I think with this and JL Warner Bros is hoping to give GL some exposure without placing everything on his shoulders again. If these go well I could see us getting a solo GL film one day. Even better would be a GL Corps movie.

Yeah a GL corps film is definitely the way to go if they ever decide to do solo GL movies again. Hal and John can be the lead characters.

Hal and Barry should really be the main characters in this movie though..their bromance is legendary, it ranks up there with Superman and Batman's...

But ethnic diversity is the only reason Cyborg was added to the JL . . .

I thought his tech and powers were the ones that brought to the JL.....:huh:

That's certainly the in-universe explanation but not why he was added from the publishing perspective.

Hal and Barry's friendship is really the only reason to do a team up with the two characters, they been linked as friends forever. My guess is that their classic friendship and the fact that they are shy on making solo movies for both characters are literally the two biggest reasons for the team up. I'd be very surprised if they passed on adding the Hal and Barry friendship to the big screen phase just to create more diversity. Assuming this rumor is true of course.

Martian Manhunter has not been completely ruled out, in fact there are just as many rumors that he will be involved at some point as there are that he will not be involved. Goyer said some things, sure, but he is not the only person behind these movies. Manhunter and Cyborg will be the diversity of the group. Though Manhunter may not be introduced right away.
