Florida Sues AOL And Wins

The Florida Attorney General successfully sued America Online for their abusive customer billing practices. The State's Attorney office received over 1,000 consumer complaints about cancellation requests being ignored, erroneous charges and unauthorized account reactivations. All Floridians who filed a complaint with the AG's office are eligible to take part in the settlement. Visit Myfloridalegal.com for more info.

Are... you... saying what I think you're saying? 'Cause I know a guy who knows a guy. :joker:

My mom will be happy about this
For a long time she has held a hatred for AOL.
When I installed AIM, she asked what is stood for...... but anyway, when I told her AOL Instant Messenger she insisted that I uninstall it.

I doubt I will tell her though, that will only cause an "I told you so" episode from her.

I use verizon wireless broadband for my laptop, and I use msn hotmail for my mail.

Does anybody remember that Futurama epidsode where the Professor walks in "Good news everybody, a couple of years ago I attempted to log in with AOL, and now we're finaly online!"

I ended up with a f'ked up 150 dollar bill from them after "cancelling" on one of those one-month free discs you get in the mail. For once, I give Florida a thumbs up
