its suppost to tie-in with Wolverine Origins, sounds good to me:)
what do you think?

A big smile crossed my face while reading the summary.
5000 rounds of ammunition!
85000 feet in the air!
The story sound pretty entertaining, cover is great looking too.

"Wolverine has been injured before, but never like this. Blasted with 5,000 rounds of machine gun shells and lifted to the edge of earth’s atmosphere by a giant robot, Wolverine was 85,000 feet in the air when he finally disabled the killing machine."

Didn't he just come back from being burned down to the bones?

And Wolverine needs another comic WHYYYY?! Meh, it's true that Wolverine hasn't been injured EXACTLY like this; but we've all seen him injured WORSE than this. He's at death's dorr? This is obviously a "What If?!"

Foxx, I hope you're reading the threads although you're not doing much posting 'cause I found something you were looking for. From the Secret War (the third one, the one with Nick Fury) Files:

It so awesome how they cant keep his power consistent.

Maybe he's part Daxamite and it's the lead poisoning that's doing him in.

awesome find tropico, when did this come out? it still does not say where in a comic story the name is from, but if this came out before the handbook, then Eric J is of the hook, unless he was involved with this too?

That Secret War came out last year or the year before that. I'd google it up for you but I'm so tired that I'm actually lazy enough not to do it. Just use the words "Secret war nick fury" as keywords and you should get something. Those files are actually part of the comics and not a separate Handbook, although they released a sort of Handbook kinda thingy. Something tells me that Erista might be something revealed there, but without any base in comics as of yet.

Come on, who cares how they hurt wolvie the point of the story is that it will likely reveal memories and provide tie-in stories with X-Men 6 and 7 and Wolverine Origins, dont just post hate, I made a thread a while back for that called "Why you hate Wolverine" feel free to post hate in that thread:)

I looked it up and looks like secret war came out in April 2004 and the marvel handbook in December 2004, so Secret War would be the first reference of Erista, not the handbook, good find tropico, thanks again

Nah, Eric has had the name Erista on his site since 2002, so he's not 'off the hook'.

But now you've gone and made such a perfectly fine new thread for us to post our hate in. :)

it won't be him. it'll be one of those life decoy model thingys.

God, I hate Marvel so much sometimes. They have 2. 2 Wolverine ongoings, this sotry couldve easily been told there.

but its the giant-size format! i didnt like the hulk one but knows lots of people did and at least i finally got to read the hulk: the end. its a good value format

How many ongoing titles is Hulk in? How many ongoing titles is Wolverine in? Thank you.

yeah but thats not the point. giant size is clearly just doing the rounds. i'd never buy origins and i dont wana start collecting the core title any more but i'd buy this. its a stand alone wolvie story in there

Heh, exactly what I was thinking. Entertaining story, action off the scale, and then a kickass cover. Consider it bought.

Considering he just regenerated from a skeletal stage, I'd say this fits below the supposed 'beserk power levels'.

LOL! You dont get it. In this comic hes almost dying, but he regenrated in like 5 seconds in the recnt Wolverine issue,

If you mean his bout with Nitro, saying I don't understand is pretty difficult when I've read it about 6 or 7 times already. I'm well aware of how fast it occured and it wasn't 5 seconds. Nito had time to look around him, walk away from the crater get on the phone for a short conversation, and THEN Wolverine busts his ass with a portion of his face still healing.
