Buddy, I've been trying to write a review for this all damn week. Literally have writer's block when thinking about it. It's just so.. sterilized and safe. Here's the last sentence of my in-progress review:

Although it carries a compelling story and phenomenal cast, The Monuments Men has more in common with a dramatized History Channel reenactment than a sweeping war film.

Saw this yesterday on a long haul flight, was very disappointed, everything was just bland, flat and safe, and nothing really happened in the movie, was looking forward to this as well.

I want to like the movie but the pacing is all over the place.
