I wish there were episodes of the original show that I could watch and download...I don't know much about the show at all. I only know Adams from Inspector Gagdet. I know about the theme and the trademark telephone booth, but that's it.

I think the original series is coming out on DVD. Some of it's a little dated now, but it's still very funny. My mom has the whole series from a Time Life collection, and it's still a lot of fun to watch.

I think you can find clips on YouTube as well.

It's been a long time since we've had a TV-show based movie that had the tone of the original show. We might finally get that again.

Mission Impossible and Charlie's Angels took those original elements (bombs, a bit of action, boobies), and pushed them to unrecognizable extremes. Wild Wild West was just plain sad. Honeymooners makes me cry. The Brady Bunch movies were good, but overall just parodies of the originals. Loved the Addams Family movies, though.

Don't disappoint us, Get Smart.

Very old-school slapstick kind of comedy...I found out today that my mother was a big fan of the original series..

Well, unlike Bewitched and The Honeymooners, this looks more like the show is based on. Steve Carell is perfectly cast. The show is funny, this will be too.

i'm getting kind of sick of carrell, but he did look pretty funny in the preview.

plus anne hathaway is just about the prettiest thing on planet earth, so... that's good.

plus the rock is actually a very funny guy, given the right material. i much prefer his comedy to his bad assery.

Except the fact that its a straight adaptation of the shows original premise...unlike Bewitched, Honeymooners and to a certain extent, Pink Panther.

PLUS, the fact that Buck Henry AND Mel Brooks cough: the creators :cough) are on board as creative consultants and have actually re-written some scenes for Carrell...everything points to a movie very faithful to the original series.

The tone of the teaser, in relation to the show, is perfect.
