Hey peoples I need some help real quick, I am putting together a DVD for some family friends who lost their kid to cancer last year. I am putting tapes I have onto DVD for them and want to do a screen grab of a clip (make it into a still I can save onto my PC) of their son who passd on, so that I can use that to make a label and cover for the DVD. Anyone have any idea how I might do that?

Hmmm we talking about dvd player on the tv or thats all on your pc...?

If on your pc

In cyberlink power dvd if you have that, there is a small camera icon on the controls, clicks that and it will save as a Jpg file.

Another way on pc is just doing a print screen 2 buttons left of F12, open paint and clicking edit . paste. crop the image and save.

It's actually the button to the right of F12, with Prt Scrn/Sys Rq on it.

Pressing print screen and copy/pasting the image will show the player, but not the image in the player.

Anyway, VLC Media Player is another player that can save a screen capture as a .jpg or .png from anything it's playing, whether it be a DVD or a movie file. And it's free so. Cool.
