EXCLUSIVE: Steven Caple Jr., best known for directing tentpoles as
Creed II and
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, has just launched his production banner,
Grey Skies, setting up his first project,
Ghost Fleet under his new first-look deal at Paramount. Caple Jr. has also named Jeannette Francis, formerly VP of Production at Bad Robot, as Grey Skies’ EVP of Development and Production, overseeing the company’s growing slate.
Based on the critically acclaimed Dark Horse comic book created by Donny Cates with art by Daniel Warren Johnson,
Ghost Fleet will be adapted by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer as a directing vehicle for Caple Jr. Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse Entertainment are producing alongside Grey Skies.
The comic follows a high-stakes mission to transport dangerous cargo leads two men into the heart of a conspiracy that could destroy them both.
