Golden Globes Thread

Leo grabbing two!! Nice to see the Fleck as well............

I hope he wins for Departed. Although Forest Whitaker may win.

I reallly liked him in The Departed...but like you said Forest Whitaker is getting alot of Buzz

As long as Departed wins Best Picture Drama and Borat wins Best Picture comedy I'll be happy. :)

Borat will win I think....Dreamgirls has a chance but im pulling for Borat.

DreamGirls will win Best Musical/Comedy....I'm rooting for The Departed for Best Pic/Drama

Forest Whitiker will most likely Best Actor. Helen Mirren will win Best Actress.

I thought Jennifer Hudson role was the starring role not Beyonce

Anyone see Babel??

I didn't Bobby was that well received.

This is the Hollywood Foreign press. They think differently from Hollywood. Sasha Baron Coen just got nominated as best actor for Borat. I highly doubt the Oscars will do the same!

I understand what you said but I don't see how you arrived to that conclusion. Why would it be the opposite?

Im not really familiar with the play/movie Dreamgirls, but from what I saw on shows like Extra it made it out like Jennifer Hudson character was the star.

Yeah, the three supporting actress noms are well desrerved.
Im definately hoping Adriana Barraza wins it.
Actually all the noms for it are deserved.

Beyonce is definately the lead, Hudson just did so well she's stealing Beyonce's thunder big time.

Exactly. But, Beyonce got 2 nominations since apparently she wrote the song thats nominated so...she has nothing to complain about.

Im really suprised about Eastwoods two director noms...
I kinda expected one for Letters but not for Flags.

Got a chance to see Little Children and Pan's Labyrinth. I wouldn't nominate either film for any major awards, but Winslet's performance is strong and the sheer beauty of Labyrinth is worth a view.
