I'm looking for something:

-Used
-American-made (don't ask why)
-Year 2003-2008
-$9-$13K
-Sedan (mid-size/compact)

Any suggestions?

I would really suggest looking for something foreign made. They tend to run better for longer, and you get more for your money.

I want a used Toyota, Mustang or Chevy Sedan, 97-03
Up to 5,000 max. Yellow please.

The unofficial auto classifieds thread? :p

American made? Honestly, you may want to rethink that. I mean, if you want a nice reliable car I'd recommend Toyota or Honda. I used to have an American made car, it was crap. My Toyota has been awesome and my family have bought Toyota for years which have all lasted with little to no problems.

Can you tell me more about this "crap" American car you had? Year? Make? Model? Years in service?

I don't know if you've been closely watching the automotive business recently, but Ford and Toyota are neck-and-neck when it comes to quality.

I've had my American made car for 8 years, it's never given me any trouble.

Screw getting a sedan, you can never go wrong with a Jeep. They last forever.

Buy anything but GM. My family has never owned a used GM vehicle that hasn't sucked after two years.

Funk a Patriot. If you're going to get a Jeep... get a Wrangler.

I will never, ever buy a Ford again.

And I believe Immortalfire owns a Sunfire. HhahahHAHahahhaHAHAHhahahaha.

Nissan and GMC have been great for me. Dodge and Ford suck ass.

I wouldn't trust an American made car as far as I could throw it.

The American car I had was a 1995 Buick Skylark. It was my first car, with low miles and seemed to have been taken care of. It worked for a little while and then was in the shop over and over again. It was crap.

Ford is getting better, but the value of Ford cars drops too fast and it just makes sense to go with Toyota/Honda for reliability and value.

How about a Ford Fusion? I think it got some decent reviews, you may want to check it out.

Yeah I was gonna say Wrangler but it doesnt really fit into what he's looking for. The love of my life is my Jeep Cherokee

Exactly... the difference in resale values are ridiculous.
