Trust him. It was the movies. Seeing as Comedy Central can't always air all of them at once, each movie is four 'episodes'. So 'season five' is the four movies cut into four 'episodes' each.

If it was awhile ago. Then yes. If it was even longer ago, it could have just been mixing up that Comedy Central was getting the rights to Futurama from Adult Swim.
