Universal craved a sequel to Angelina Jolie’s assassination tango/loom tutorial Wanted. Unfortunately for the studio, Jolie is leaving them…wanting. We’ve just heard the actress has pulled out of the planned Timur Bekmambetov-directed sequel at Universal, and the studio has pulled the plug rather than recast the film. As for Jolie, we hear she is now intent on starring in Warner Bros.’ Gravity, a space thriller to be directed by Children of Men’s Alfonso Cuarón from a script he wrote with his 28-year-old son, Jonás.

Like Wanted 2, Gravity had previously been set up at Universal, with Jolie set to star. But a few weeks ago, the studio put Gravity into turnaround, possibly because it’s such an artistically challenging project: Jolie would be alone on-screen for much of the movie, playing the sole surviving human member of a space mission, desperately trying to return home to Earth and her daughter. (In that way it’s reminiscent of the brilliant, little-seen Moon with Sam Rockwell. Seriously, why won't you see it?) Now Warners has snapped it up, and it will be produced by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows producer David Heyman and Legendary Pictures.
This already has my ten bucks.

sounds boring... she should've stuck with Wanted

It's the female version of moon. If one genre with a male does good, expect a female version of same said film.:oldrazz:
Tell me, are you guys logically impaired, or just snobbishly presumptuous?

Here's how a DC Comics Exec, channeling your energy, would have talked in 1939: "Grown man born from parents' tragedy, who takes up an oath to protect citizens from crime? And dresses up in a silly get-up?! Sounds just like Superman. Get this Bat-Man character out of here -- NEXT!"

Moon obviously didn't do ****, because...I've never even ****ing heard of it.

This sounds interesting.

You mean, Moon, that awesome movie that you didn't see but you should see? that movie?

I'm just saying what people are gonna say. No one is going to ''Oh this reminds me of Moon. " Except uber nerds/fans of that movie and obviously there aren't many, because this is the first time I've heard of it EVER and I talk to alot of people who see ALOT of films.

I don't think Moon sounds interesting though. Sounds pretty boring from it's imdb description.

Be honest, you only wanna see it cause of Jolie.

Me I really never cared for her or seen the big deal, but to each their own.

wow, not because it's being directed by one of the best directors out there, huh?

Sorry, but your friends are crappy movie buffs. :funny:

I think JAL's forgetting that Jolie's a pretty competent actress as well. She's just not a pretty face.

That with a good director is what makes me intrigued by this.

Do you really want to challenge me on this? Because I already know you'll b***h out like the half dozen other times I tried to engage you into a debate.

Or maybe it's just no one has heard of Moon. I don't even hear about it on sites that report about movies.

If it's good, then good for it, I'm just saying, it must not be very well known at all. It's the same standing as Sunshine, I'd say. And Sunshine bored me to tears too.

i've got friends who watch a lot of movies, and they've heard of moon. or they're try to spread the word around.

it's not a runaway hit like 500 Days of Summer though.

I'm not exaggerating when I say I'm baffled you're saying this. Moon has been covered in more than enough occasions on practically every movie site there is for the past year. If you don't believe me, feel free to go to Google, type in exactly:

site:(insert fav movie site url) Moon Sam Rockwell

You'll have your proof there.

to be fair, Moon's a whole lot quirkier than Sunshine. It's a slower movie but it's not as serious as Sunshine.

Either I over looked the mentions or something, but this is literally the first time I've heard of it.
