Great 80s "Batman 89" Documentary!

I have this. It was being traded within a small group of fans. I didnt know someone had uploaded it to youtube. There are actually afew docs that have not been put onto the SE DVD's. Lots of behind the scenes stuff.

That was so awesome. But why the hold up, if there is more items similar in nature to this, why wouldn't batman fans release it to the masses ... and not selfishly share it in a lame clique.

What other ones do you know about or are holding out on us SHADOWBAT69 ? lol

some of these documentaries were very rare only shown once or twice then locked away. There are a couple that were only shown in the UK, and one that was used for promotional use only for the studio to give to potential licensees and marketers. Some of the stuff is still licensed under WB's "not for public use" rule. So, when offered something like that, you just keep it hush hush, so that possibly you can get more in the future. :)

Its not being selfish or cliquey, just being considerate to the original person who was able to share it with some trustworthy individuals.

However, I can say, that there are some things that WB should have put on the SE DVD, because they were once shown on TV. There is still a PBS special that I would love to try and track down.

ShadowBat69,

Then what was the point in telling us there was other videos if they are just to remain secret? C'mon, be real, you were in not so many words bragging and rubbing it in our faces. If it was really that secret, or "not for public consumption" you shouldn't have even mentioned it. And this video on youtube would've been taken down ASAP if that was the case. Fact is the stuff has been around since 1988 / 1989 ... a whopping 18 years later, no one is even going to care or recognize it if it was shown. Hell, the executives in charge @ WB of that time who did actually use the material and secure it ... they by now are long gone in the managment positions at Warners. The stuff is archived. Let's face it, you feel you have something no one else has with the exception of a select few, so therefore it gives your "possesion" more worth. If it was that top secret (which they aren't, the movie is long gone) you wouldn't have even mentioned it in here, knowing people would bite and ask what you're talking about or if they could see it. Like dangling a steak infront of a Lion. You're not fooling me. Go ahead and be a *****e, and bait us fans. I just see through it. If you really didn't want to give the original person up, you wouldn't have even mentioned it. As that gives validity that there is actually stuff out there we haven't seen, thus still putting his info out there. But really, none of it is that secret and you know it.

^ don't listen to this jerk ShadowBat69.

I mean yeah, it would be nice to know what kinda stuff is out there thaty we may not know about, but you never came off as if you were bragging or loarding it over us.

boy, you must have a miserable life.:whatever:

Im not baiting anyone. Im simply letting people know that there are docs out there that most people have never seen. I also just wont go and announce out in the open where things like this can be obtained. Thats what pm's are for.
One of the documentaries Im referring to, Ive never seen, it was shown in the UK. It has a segment on them actually making the cape and shows a guy using an air gun to spray the latex in the cape mold. Ill probably never own it, but Im not going to get angry and call people names. Thats childish behavior, the same as you show on this board time and time again. No wonder noone really cares for you on here. Also, the ones that I do have Ive owned for a couple of years now. Its not like I just got them. When I did receive them, I was asked not to make copies of them or tell everyone where they came from. The person didnt want to be hound dogged by people like you.
When there is a video that has "property of warner bros. not for public view" at the bottom of the screen thru the whole thing, you dont just go around and advertise it and post it up on the internet. Regardless of what year, its still their property. It will be taken down, there will be consequences. If you dont believe or understand that, thats your problem. Its just like those bootleg dvd's that were available on ebay awhile back that had all those 89 commercials, tv spots, and rare interviews. They arent offered anymore. Know why? The person selling them got into trouble. This is why certain things are not publicly broadcasted. With WB, you are jut inviting trouble with such things. Trust me, they watch. The above youtube link was a once publicly broadcasted special, thats why it probably wont be taken down. If one of the people who received this decided to share it, thats their decision. If the person who orginally passed it along has a problem with it, thats between them two. Theres nothing that can be done. It was just a matter of breaking a trust that a group of collectors had. Again, if you dont understand this, thats your problem.
And, there are still alot of people employed by WB that have been there since 1989, its really not all that long ago, and are still involved in the Batman movies. And people can loose their jobs for giving out licensed items.

Mr. LOL thinks everybody's an idiot who needs a lecture. Typical new guy behavior. Ignore him. When he's not lecturing, he's talking down to people who've done nothing wrong.

That was fascinating to watch; I'd not known of it until now. It's disappointing that there could be so much Batman related footage out there that we might never see, but I'm grateful that even a BIT of it has been shared.

I always love seeing the sets for that movie. The sets were really magnificent and so convincing. Gotham felt so real in that movie and the bleak look was perfect.
