Hard drive question

I have a portable hard drive, and it's a 1TB, and in NTFS format. I honestly don't know what to do, because I wanna use this hard drive for my Mac, Windows, and Linux. Would be the best thing to do is just FAT or FAT32 format it?

Why not just leave it at NTFS?

If that isn't an option FAT32
