I have! They were attractive, colorful, and I could tell they had a story to tell...though it appeared paper thin. When I pushed to know more they just folded.

Perhaps next time I meet one, instead of interrogating them when I know they won't say anything, I'll just go and see the movie.

Back in 2004 I met a poster here that went by the name Mara Jade. We were both students at Illinois State and had lunch a few times. We really had nothing in common so we didnt become friends.

I'm Facebook friends with one member and one former member.

I met a few people during The Dark Knight ARG movie screening. ConeBone and also Stanimal who I actually met before he became a member, and I encouraged him to join so he would have a place to participate in the virals. I'm not sure if either post here anymore.

About a year ago, I did meet a supposed banned-member in public. I was waiting in line at a movie theater and overheard the guy ahead of me mention the SHH Boards. I'd never heard anyone randomly mention the site in public before. I then asked him if he was a member and told him that I was, he then immediately went into an angry tirade about the site being run by uptight Nazis and that I should quit before I get banned. I asked him what his user name was and what got him banned and he replied, "An opinion, having an opinion got me banned!" he then turned back to his friends. It was a line for TDKR tickets, so I assume he frequented the bat boards.

I've never met anyone from this site, though I assume that I was unknowingly near a few at the free Avengers preview last year.


I have met people I knew on another site, however. More than 100 of us gathered together and had lunch after an event. A few of us have become good friends in real life.
