Just read in the EW that this show is going to be like American Horror Story in that each new season is it's own separate story -- including a whole new cast each time. Looks the boys are only going to be around for just the first run. That bummed me out.

I'm cool with this, I actually enjoy how American Horror does it, changing it up each season like that (though the core cast stays, they just change roles). It makes it easier to drop a weaker season, too, lol and only buy the ones I liked.

Yea this could still be really good. I just think it makes them rush storylines a lot though. It totally changed the structure of the narrative and character development. I was hoping more for a new HBO brand of a Justified or Breaking Bad or something. I like good characters that last a while. I'm still watching and if its people the calibre of Woody and McConaughey then I'm all for it. It's a cool paradigm for a crime series. New case each season, new, more troubled detectives. They could even do a season with a washed up PI played by Harrison Ford or Bruce Willis or something. I mean, it surprised me enough to hear of Woody and McConaughey being in a tv series so maybe we could see some more true A listers try and go after a quick Emmy. Could be total greatness. This first season looks dope enough

I think that is the draw of this to Movie stars, You have a 3-4 month commitment, and you can do some work where you can really get into a character and stories, but you are not locked in for years and years.
