And what do we get if you're wrong?

Because of all the "the show has no female arcs and all they're there for is for sex." Stuff that I've seen brought up countless times by people.

The guy in charge also tweeted something and deleted it (can't remember what) but it was along the lines of next season changing those problems people have with the women viewed as lesser. I believe Buzzfeed asked him about it and he said he didn't want to keep it out there in case plans change.

Curious to see what's in store for the future and who they get.


I enjoyed the show but its almost all because of Harrleson and McCaughnahey, outside of te performances they give the show is pretty bland haha.

If there are female leads next season I don't think/hope not it will have anything to do with the "backlash" on TD and female characters.

Hopefully Nic will just put out what works best and if that includes females leads then so be it.

I always find sometimes trying to squeeze in a certain ethnicity or gender in something just because it's politically correct degrades the quality of that medium whatever it may be. Sometimes jus let re writers and creators do there thing it's all the more enjoyable for us that way.

I read in the Rolling Stone that he is busy writing the scripts for season two. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in his writing room.

Lets be real here though. Who wouldn't want to see a Fukanaga directed solo Batman film? We'd finally have a chance to see Batman do some true detective work.

On the bright side Snyder can't have him do less detective work than Nolan did. Nolan had Fox doing it all for Bruce until TDKR when Bruce discovered how to google Kyle's name.

I can't wait to see if Snyder fully embraces the gadgets and Bruce's brilliance in engineering tech and equipment.

Finally all caught up on this show. Started off kinda sceptical but I've grown to love it and it's probably the best show on TV right now. Can't wait to see how it all goes down tonight...

I never understood this argument. He does more detective work, uses more gadgets and actually works a couple crime scenes in TDK. The bullet fragments/fingerprints, the thing he uses to start cutting into Scarecrow's van, plastic explosives gun, his sonar bat-vision etc

Yeah the whole bullet finger print aspect was all Bruce.

Not to mention I mean TDK was essentially a crime film really.

Exactly. Always perplexed me when people act like he didn't use gadgets or anything in it. I'm always like "Ummm did we even watch the same damn movie?!" I mean, irradiated dollar bills anybody?? Gtfo

Bruce also does some in depth investigating on various characters including Scarecrow in Begins, though much of it is not very explicitly shown.

But I digress. Fukanaga's tie to the detective aspect of the show stems more from the writing itself. But he has presented it in a very compelling and eerie way.

Well, the Nolan films were heavily influenced by The Long Halloween so perhaps a new Batman film could take that approach... have obvious visible villains like the Joker or Two-Face but also have an unknown villain who is the central mystery.

Notice how no one in here is talking about TDKR. Nolan did a good job with Batman in TDK. Then Nolan turned him into an inept fool in TDKR. Ive broke down the absurdity of the Bane fight in detail in the batboards so Ill make this quick in here. Bruce regardless of his physical shape or mental state is a ****ing idiot in his first encounter with Bane. He isnt batman. He looks like an incompetant vigilante wearing hockey pads. Its pathetic. Batman had to be broken but Nolan didnt need to make him look like an idiot in the fight to make Bane look like a beast. I mean for ****s sake he went into a fight with only some puny smoke flash bangs. Where's the bats, the grappling gun, the strategy, the sonar etc. Soon as the gate came down he should have flipped the lights grappled into the top level and started picking off guys. Then when we think Batman has the upper hand Bane commences to stomping his ass. Or something of this nature. Thats a fight. What we got was an ill prepared cripple getting beat by an asthmatic. Then upon his return to Gotham he once again goes head to head with Bane which is somewhat forgiveable given the circumstances, but then he shows zero intuitive or deductive skills when he starts screaming and interrogating Bane about the detonator and then is quickly flabbergasted by the knife buried in his rib cage.

I know the film has its fans, but I think Batman looks like a complete fool for 90% of what little time he is on screen.

Just how I feel. I know others wont agree, and Im ok with that.

Not to go off topic, but I hear the final episode of this show called True Detective is on tonight...
