Action star Iko Uwais stars in the ultra-violent revenge saga Headshot

TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) 2016 runs September 8th – 18th and comes fully loaded with enough violent, surreal and awesomely strange cinema to melt your mind. Most of the more deranged offerings are concentrated into the much-loved Midnight Madness program, the after hours screening series that sees fans freaking out in packed houses watching the craziest genre stuff around.

Among this year’s selections is director Timo Tjahjanto and Kimo Stamboel’s Headshot, which stars the indomitable Iko Uwais (The Raid) as an amnesiac whose mysterious past as a killing machine comes to the fore when he takes on the henchmen of a vengeful drug lord.

TIFF has just revealed the new Headshot theatrical poster.

I liked the Mo Brothers last film 'Killers' so I'm definitely in.

Have yet to see 'Macabre'.

YES YES YES I NEED THIS MOVIE IN MY LIFE NOW.

I loved this guy from The Raid, and this looks fantastic.

Cool...and awesome trailer, maybe this is warming up until the raid 3 coming out

It's a shame that Julie Estelle isn't working in Hollywood, she's the one that could easily make the transition.

Yep...also she was Hammer Girl in the Raid 2.

Saw it, loved it. Some people felt the "romance" or sentimentality of it was too cheesy and forced, but I found it to be rather innocent and endearing. The action is exactly what you'd expect, in the best way. The kills and injuries are brutal. My God lol. Also, I loved the villain. He's so calm and at ease but is such a monster lol.

Julie's character is such a babe, it doesn't help that she's absolutely beautiful. Iko Uwais was......Iko ****ing Uwais. He's on his way to becoming a modern day icon, if he isn't already. Chelsea Islan who plays Doctor Ailine is fantastic. She has such a soothing aura to her and you immediately fall in love. The camera just loves her.
Another thing of note, the music. Fantastic! It reminded me a lot of the hard hitting and thumping scores in The Dark Knight Rises. So good!

Iko and Julie are going to appear next with the same directors for "The Night Comes For Us", which will star Joe Taslim (who was in the first Raid).

Find me another movie where a guy has his punch blocked by a typewriter (and then continues punching with its mechanical bits protruding from his knuckles!)

Holy sh** lol
