Help My Mom Find a Laptop!

My mom wants a new notebook/laptop. Here's what she has on her old one:

-CD drive
-3.5 Floppy
-10 GB
-312 RAM

Yes, it's an old old, machine.


She wants one with obviously more memory and hard drive space, a CD R/RW drive, a internal wireless network adapter, 13.1" or larger, and preferably Windows XP.

She will be using it primarily for word processing and audio file storage.

So, basically she needs a very low-end laptop, just for casual/office needs. The cheapest, yet most reliable laptop possible will be a huuge upgrade for her.

Any suggestions? Where to look, websites, stores, brand names, price ranges...etc?

Check out tigerdirect.com They are one of the few who will still sell computers with XP on them. Also check out Ebay and Craigslist. My buddy got a helluva deal on a Gateway laptop from Craigslist.
