Actually it looks like as Amakusa Shogo is actually Hiko Seijuro doesn't it? they just made him faster, a bit screwed with his morals, having mastered the Rai-Ryu Sen.... (funny why Rai-ryu-sen isn't in the Hiten Mitsurugi (default) techinque list, which Hiko should have mastered in 14 years of kenshin's disapperance and then teach it to Kenshin later as the maybe the succession to the amakekeru ryu no hirameki).its almost like amakusa was created to show a battle between kenshin and a suped up hiko.

So point is:
1. would hiko defended against the rai-ryu-sen? hiko is more open and creative than kenshin in general.

2. why the Rai-Ryu-Sen isn't part of the Hiten Mitsurugi school of teaching? What are the uses of the Rai-Ryu-Sen?

When was Shogo introduced? I don't think I seen this character yet.

Shogo Amakusa was introduced in the third arc of the animated series because the show caught up with the manga. So instead of waiting for the manga to finish, the producers decided to make crap up. The new stuff was so bad that ratings dropped and the show was canceled. As a result, the last arc of the manga was never animated (not including the OVAs).

On another note f**k Shogo Amakusa. He was a really bad character. If Kenshin was able to regain his sight, Hiko would be able to do so too.

I had a feeling it was that arc. I didn't watch that one, but heard so many bad things about it. So, I avoided it.

I thought shogu amakusa left japan and learned his new skill all by himself as hiko pointed out that he failed his final test which was the master-student stand off,and whoever made it thru would become the next successor of the hitten mitsuruggi martial art. but this guy amakusa survived the test even though he failed in it and that he should be dead, but he later became a genius in the hitten mitsuruggi that the rai-ryu-sen was achieved only by him alone.
even kenshin admited that he doesn't stand a chance againts shogu, when they fought shogu was wounded by the state police and was shaken emotionally kenshin took advantage of his weak emotional state so that he couldn't focus on their fight plus he was bleeding and weakened while kenshin was concentrating on defeating him.

Shogo was never trained in Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu by Seijuro Hiko XII. He learned it from his uncle (who was the one who failed to defeat Hiko the XII) and taught himself the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki and the Rai Ryu Sen.

Again Shogo was a s***y character that was just created to give Kenshin a challenge as a great as Shishio was. To give him his first "loss". Etc. They should have just waited until the Jinchu and Remembrances arc was finished and use better characters as enemies such Enishi, Gein, Otowa, Kujuranami, Mumyoui, and Banjin. Hell, the anime series even set the damn thing up by having Kenshin visit Tomoe's grave in the last episode of the Kyoto arc and introducing Gein.

Also Aoshi actually fights instead of just sitting around and Cho plays a more important role than just getting his ass kicked.

so is that the reason why we no longer have the Samurai X anime?
because of bad story/writting/plot or something like that?
I don't see anymore Samurai X anime on TV or Cable.
Do they still show it? I mean are there new episodes or new seasons?
or is it all left on those manga magazines/comic books?
please inform me thanks a lot!

Yep, the last arc of the anime ended poorly. It was bad, viewers stopped watching, ratings dropped, thus it got canceled.

Cartoon Network isn't airing it at the time being. They haven't in a while as a matter in fact. And no, no new episodes will EVER be made unless Sony decides out of nowhere to do the Jinchu arc, which will probally not happen.

The manga just recently ended in America with volume 28. The manga ended years ago in Japan. Not because of low readership but because Watsuki Nobuhiro finished his story. He'll do the occasional side story such as Yahiko no Sakabato and Kenshin Kaden or maybey he'll do a story set in the Kenshin universe someday, but Kenshin's story is over.

please inform me thanks a lot!
By the way, it's Rurouni Kenshin, not Samurai X. Samurai X is the name given to Rurouni Kenshin in the OVAs which were distributed by ADV Films in America and given to the TV series in Europe and Asian countries outside of Japan which was distributed by Sony

Shogou was like the christian God, first time he fought Himura he could kill him in seconds.
I give it to Shogou.

No, Shogo just claimed to be the Son of the Christian God, but it turned out he wasn't. Even though he lost his first match against him, Kenshin defeated Shogo in the end in battle, while blind (in the manga Kenshin was never beaten, the Shimabara arc is not in continuity). Also Hiko is more powerful than Kenshin is.

But it was wierd... First match: Shogou's faster, Shogou get's a dozin chanses of killing Kenshin but he don't ect.
Next match: blind Kenshin vs wounded Shogou: Kenshin's faster.

He didnt even train for the second match!

Ah yes. Shougo was terrible compared to Mr. Depth and Personality Shishio. "I got burned and now I hate and will kill everything MWHAHAAHAHA"

Manga wankers are so lame. They can't understand a good story or character can be created independently of their black-and-white still crap.

The anime creators captured a very interesting point in history, the persecution of Christians in Japan, and turned it into a decent story with all characters, well mainly Kenshin and Sano, growing from it.

It's not as good as the Kyoto Arc but that doesn't mean it's bad.
