Hiro Murai, the director of Donald Glover/Childish Gambino’s much talked about “This is America” music video along with several episodes of “Atlanta,” is in talks to make his feature directorial debut on the thriller “Man Alive” at 20th Century Fox.
Bought as a spec byJoe Greenberg and re-written by “It Follows” filmmaker David Robert Mitchell, the story covers the events following the invasion of earth by an alien species. A man faced with isolation and loneliness in order to survive realises something even more terrifying – he might not be alone after all.
Noah Hawley, Leigh Kittay, John Cameron, Chris Bender and Jake Weiner are producing.

I'm so down. Love his work on Atlanta.

For my money, Hiro Murai is probably the best director working today. I can't wait to see it.

Agreed. Definitely one of the best and most interesting directors working today.
The Teddy Perkins episode is incredible. It made my blood run cold.
Hadn't seen something so genuinely disturbing and scary in years!

Bumping the thread since another one was created

Hiro definitely feels like the sort of interesting new wave of director who can make iconic new movies for today’s era. I’m excited to see what he does
